Faculty position - Inter-professional educator/evaluator/researcher.  Vanderbilt University School of Medicine seeks a high energy professional to develop and direct educational processes, conduct program evaluation and create scholarship around this transformational program in inter-professional health professions learning and patient care. This innovative program is the collaboration of schools of Pharmacy, Nursing, Social Work and Medicine in Nashville. Groups of four first year students from each profession will engage in longitudinal, developmental learning/working experiences in Nashville clinics. Beginning September 2010 working as a team with clinical preceptors, students will progressively contribute to patients’ total health care, will advance knowledge and skill in a learn-assess-do model and will conduct quality improvement studies of patient care and the learning process (see https://medschool.vanderbilt.edu/hse ). The successful candidate for this position will work with the principle investigator and program faculty from all schools to implement, improve and investigate this unique program. This is a full-time, faculty position commensurate with experience and scholarship. Experience in health care and/or health professions education, evidence of independent scholarship and a desire to build a professional niche around this program are preferred.
