The employee will work to support all aspects of the School of Medicine and its curriculum, infrastructure, process, and procedures, with responsibilities for teaching (large- and small-group didactics and case-based teaching) and to provide training to assume roles in block/course leadership. Further, the candidate will collaborate with other preclinical and clinical faculty members to integrate and reinforce concepts throughout the SOM curriculum, serve as content expert in developing specific educational and assessment materials to be delivered in a variety of student-centered, simulation and other innovative pedagogies, and serve as facilitators for small-group learning. The candidate will be a member of medical educators, who provide expertise, leadership and mentoring in educational scholarship and innovation in undergraduate and graduate medical education. As a core faculty in the department of medical education, the individual will be active in grant writing and in conducting individual and collaborative research generated in the department. The position reports to the Chair, Department of Medical Education and Vice Dean of Faculty and Academic Affairs.
